The Conjuring has a very low level of animal violence, no sexual content, adult language, or any real blood or gore to speak of. It also is one of the only truly scary horror films I’ve seen in a long time, thanks largely to a near absence of CGI effects, which usually are that other kind of scary.
The featurette A Life in Demonology interviews the real people on which the film’s story is based, and is enjoyable and informative.
