The Haunted Strangler (Robert Day, 1958)
Corridors of Blood (Robert Day, 1959)
First Man into Space (Robert Day, 1959)
The Atomic Submarine (Spencer Gordon Bennet, 1959)
The Atomic Submarine is horrible. First Man into Space is watchable. The Haunted Strangler and Corridors of Blood are entertaining, somewhat charming, films due mostly to Boris Karloff’s similar and sympathetic leading role in each film. In both Haunted Strangler and Corridors of Blood Karloff plays a socially-conscious up-scale Victorian on an admirable crusade, but who is unable to tame a monster within himself.
