Stranger Than Fiction

Stranger Than Fiction. Marc Forster, 2006.
😿
Edition screened: Columbia TriStar DVD, released 2007. English language. Runtime approximately 113 minutes.

Summary: Televised animal violence porn.

Details: While perplexed about his place in the universe, Will Ferrell turns on the TV and see clips about animal deaths. First is a legitimate nature documentary, then a narration about monkeys captured and tortured, and finally one of those thing that Republicans watch so they can say “Hey, it’s a tough world out there. Animals kept slaves too, so you vegans need a history lesson about states rights.”

What happens immediately afterwards is pretty entertaining, and I recommend just getting through the animal clip sequence, which is mostly Will Ferrell’s face, 49:28-51:16.
