1) A recitation presumes what a sperm whale would be thinking as it falls several miles to its death, 1:14:00-1:15:12. The accompanying computer-generated effect of a whale falling through the air contains no conclusion of the scene.
2) Two white mice are intentionally smashed under a sugar bowl at 1:35:15. We return to the scene at 1:35:28 to see that upon lifting the bowl, the white mice have resolved as human, possibly angel, forms.
