The Go-Between

The Go-Between. Joseph Losey, 1970.
😿😿
Edition screened: StudioCanal Blu-ray, released 2010. English language. Runtime approximately 116 minutes.

Summary: Murder of a rabbit.

Details: Alan Bates shoots a rabbit at 47:56 for no reason.

The Go-Between opens with narration reminding us that “The past is a foreign country,” possibly contextualizing this film’s win of the 1971 Palme d’Or. I intend to start a separate project that will prepare viewers for mind-numbing scenes such as the drying of Julie Christie’s hair after swimming.
