Deliverance

Deliverance. John Boorman, 1972.
😿
Edition screened: Warner DVD, released 2001. English language. Runtime approximately 109 minutes.

Summary: Brief hunting violence.

Details: At 27:25 Burt Reynolds shoots a fish using a laughably over-complicated bow that (must? should?) be a quick joke about this type of sportsman in a truly rough environment. We see the arrow go into the fish. It all happens very fast and it’s over.

The Warner DVD includes Ronald Saland’s better-than-expected Making-of documentary, “The Dangerous World of Deliverance” (1972, 10 minutes).
