Details: At 37:17 Michael Fassbender catches a large fish by hand and carries it to the bank. At 37:40 we see it gasping, and by 37:55 he has killed it by impaling it on a stick.
I predictably dislike coming-of-age stories, but thoroughly enjoyed this atypically smart drama set in the tower blocks of East London. The Criterion release also includes Arnold’s Milk, Wasp, and Dog.
